Society ______ Air Nomads live in temples or travel the world on the backs of herding Sky-Bison or occasionally their own gliders.
All Air Nomads are born as monks in one of the four great temples (North South East West) and then the Temple of Wu Xing.
Air Nomads have no familial attachments, they study the path of enlightenment from the time they are born. They're society stresses peace, charity, creativity and wisdom.
Personality __________ Air is the element of freedom.
Airbenders have an affinity with Air, as such they share certain traits with the element. They are often evasive and "flighty". They prefer to avoid conflict over direct confrontation and they can seem somewhat detached. They also tend to have excellent senses of humor partly due to their tendancy to look at situations from a myriad of perspectives.
Appearance: __________ Air Nomads typically avoid gaudy or flashy attire and usually wear monks robes. Almost all the men shave their heads and almost all the women shave the front half.
Nearly all Air Nomads have grey eyes, other colors are uncommon like brown or blue and are usually the product for one of the parents being of another nation.
Airbending ___________ Unlike the other nations, all Air Nomads areBenders (those with the ability to manipulate an element through a physical art known as Bending). Therefore "Air Nomad" and "Airbender" can be used interchangebly. There is the extremely rare dud but note these are so rare it makes the Avatar look like pennies...so easy to get its worthless.
Airbending is similar in movement to Ba-Gua Kung Fu, stressing circular movements and remaining behind your apponent. Air is most powerfull in motion, and the most powerfull forms of Airbending are in circular motions, giving the greatest momentum in the smallest area.

AIR BENDING CULTURE =========================================
As might be expected from people who harness the power of air, The air nomads are a peaceful society. Honest and forthright, They prefer to to use their bending strictly for defensive puposes.
While other nations possess royalty and are run by monarchies, the Air Nomads are led by the senior monks of the Air Temples, i.e. by a theocracy.
The Air Nomads are the only nation comprised entirely of benders, due to the highly spiritual nature of their lives. Meditation was an important part of the Airbenders' daily routines, as it helped them to focus their energies and understand the potency of their element.
It has been mentioned that they have a good sense of humor, a fact shown when Monk Gyatso employed a unique teaching method when tutoring Aang with his Airbending skills — accurately blowing fruit pies onto other monks' heads. Useful training and a fun game combined.
The arrow tattoos adorning an Air Nomad's body signifies that he or she has mastered Airbending. This is an emulation of the natural arrows on the heads of Flying Bison, animals revered by the Air Nomads who can naturally Airbend and are believed to be the inspiration for the first Airbenders. aspiring Airbenders have no tattoos. In order to receive the tattoos as well as the title of a master, an Airbender must pass the levels of Airbending along with engendering a new technique.
The Air Nomads were a tranquil race of people endeavored to preserve the environment around them. Any industry that they engendered, such as farming and gardening, were powered naturally. They also produced their own food. Due to their high spirituality, all Air Nomads are born with airbending abilities
